Trauma, sexual assault, and domestic violence can have complex impacts on many aspects of a survivor’s life. Systemic oppressions on the basis of sexuality, race, age, ability, and many other factors interact with trauma to disproportionately burden certain groups. This website’s design attempts to address the reality that trauma is rarely cleanly compartmentalized in the story of a human life. Healing from trauma is a process that touches every corner of a survivor’s experience.
We offer this library of information, materials, and tools for advocates, human service providers, community organizers, policy-makers, and others. Our goal is to use information to empower advocates and survivors to address the nuanced impacts of trauma on individuals, organizations and systems.
